| Work is going great and consuming my life almost completely. In the words of my one of small group members, I have become lame. To attempt to get rid of some of the lameness, the XBOX will be put on hold indefinitely. I got my guitar back tonight and got a case for it. Now I need to take it to someone to straighten the neck(the person who fixed the switches put the neck on crooked) and then tune it up again. Other than that, it has gone from trash to being gorgeous.....gorgeous enough that I took my money that I had saved up for doing something on Valentine's Day and dropped it on a case. Now the old breaking case on the other one is looking sad and will need to be changed out. That one works fine although I'm sure it needs tuning badly. One of my friends here has decided to marry a girl and wants me as the best man. He proposed on Saturday I believe...they started dating 4.5 months ago....and the wedding should be sometime next week or shortly afterwards. Well, off to sleep to prepare for another long day of lameness. | | |
| Progress is being made on the guitars. I got lessons for Christmas so next week I should be signing up for classes. The Fender is being repaired by a guy who does a lot of work on old Fender's. For under a hundred bucks, it will be playing like its brand new, have new strings, and be clean. (For the record, my cleaning job a few months ago involved a paper towel and water....his job should be better.) The Supro is still sitting in its original case which is falling apart. Both need cases and straps. Work is going well, I'm getting to like the other people more. And I'm finally getting out a bit more with people from my church when I'm not helping with sound/video/lighting. Because of that I'm finally meeting people that I'd like to hang out with more. Well, off to get ready for work, I gotta be there at 10. | | |
| No update on the guitars, they are sitting behind the chair in my room. I got a new job working at Capital One in the mailroom. I'm definitely happy with this job. No update on the girl, getting to know each other as I am with about 5 million others from my Sunday School class. Well, Merry Christmas everyone, I must go down and join the parents in preparing for people coming over. | | |
| Because my parents have no clue what to get me even though I gave them a list, I guess I'm getting myself some guitar parts. I'm looking for an original jack and some original switches, all need to be in working order. I'm trying to keep the Fender as original as possible but the switches and the jack are completely shot. In other news, I got a new job working for Capital One in the mail room. In more other news, I have a Christmas present to buy that I thought wouldn't be coming around anytime soon. | | |
| I start a new job tomorrow installing sprinklers. Both guitars have new strings on them. The Fender requires a new jack and some work done to the switches and a case to hold it in. The Supro works perfectly but its case is falling apart. That is all, I have to be up at 6 to be at work at 7. Praise the Lord I don't have to drive to the office, its a half hour drive there and then a half hour drive back to the job which is practically next to my house. | | |
